Remarks: Under restoration at North Weald ready to be flown to her new owner in France. It's amazing to think that this aircraft once flew in/out of Heathrow airport on scheduled services, registered as G-AYAH at that time.
Remarks: There aren't many shots around of Beech 18's with their original cockpits and so it was a treat to be allowed a look inside this example at North Weald. It is still in flyable condition, and if you search under its previous mark of G-AYAH you can find photos of it at Heathrow airport in active service which is quite difficult to imagine in this day and age.
Remarks: Close cropped low res view of Beech D18S VH-UWG, in bare metal finish, in the rain at the Canberra Aero Club Open Day in March 1984. (It took an Airshow to break the drought!). Prospective Joyflight passengers shelter under the aircraft wing, waiting for the rain to stop. The text on the fuselage reads 'Vintage Aircraft Joyflights'. VH-UWG was also in Canberra in March 1993. Apologies for quality.
