Remarks: One of the oldest aircraft in the Indian Airforce and housed at Air Force Museum in New Delhi, this vintage bird was returned to flying condition after a 14 month long restoration exercise.
The aircraft also took to the skies as part of the flying display at Aero India 2013.
Remarks: The beautifully restored Tiger Moth sits proudly on the tarmac at the IAF Day 2012 dress rehersals. A little later she took to the air a good 70 years past its prime. Kudos to the team reponsible for this restoration.
Remarks: A close formation take-off from Rwy 14 by three Tiger Moths at the Wide Bay International Airshow at Bundaberg Airport in July 2009. It had to be a close formation because the aircraft were connected by ropes! DH-82A Tiger Moth VH-UZV Cn DHA399, keeps a safe distance from Leader DH-82 Tiger Moth VH-RVE Cn 83478, and DH-82A Tiger Moth VH-APE Cn 219. There was plenty of slack in the flagged ropes, to cater for a bit of turbulence.
