Remarks: On short final to RWY 27 at BLR. This was the second last spotting trip where i captured a Kingfisher aircraft in flight. The airline was later grounded in October 2012 and its flying license suspended.
Remarks: [1400 px] My primary aim of uploading this pic is not to show the sad state of various Kingfisher Airlines birds scattered across various Indian airports, but to serve as a remembrance of one of my finest Domestic flights which came aboard this very bird back in 2007. Still, this bird is much better condition than some of the others & I hope it finds a new home with some different airline & is back in the air soon!
Remarks: Memories...the days when ATRs from Jet Airways and Kingfisher would dominate the Bangalore skies. With the demise of Kingfisher, Jet Airways has scaled down the ATR operations. So now the traffic at Bangalore is mostly 320, 737, 320, 737, Q400, 737, 320....................
Remarks: [1600px] The King of Good Times had its license cancelled and the airline has not flown since October last year. Seen here is one of its ATR in very poor state. Its tilted to its left as Engine No.2 is missing !
Remarks: 1200 PX. Usually the first to arrive, it used to be a race between KF, 9W & BA which used to arrive back to back from a 9 hour LHR flight. Sadly all the wide bodies have now been seized by the lessors, this one stored at Zurich since 4.6.12.
