Remarks: Sunset on her career. An atmospheric shot of this classic airliner silhouetted against the winter sky. The approach radar is in the background, which sadly she wont be using again. This was taken from the viewing area at Manchester before G-BOAC was placed in her new hangar.
Remarks: Captain's view of 'Alpha Charlie', the flagship of flagships. Taken on the Concorde Tour at the airports viewing park. I really hope one of these beautiful machines takes to the skies again one day.
Remarks: Before being covered, 'Alpha Charlie' rests in the gentle winter sun. This was taken on an old Canon EOS 1000F loaded with very standard Boots 200 ASA film and a Tamron 28-300, and was processed from a scan of the original 9x6 inch print. Unfortunately as it was taken on film I'm not sure of the exact date but it was sometime in January '07.
Remarks: This one arrived at Manchester as its final flight nearly three years before this shot was taken. She sits here in the aviation viewing park but has since been put in a personally built hangar. Note the rear wheel designed to prevent damage if a tail strike occured.
