Remarks: The 40th built L-188, manufactured as “A” serie in 1959 for Ansett Airlines of Australia. First flight on February 13, delivered February 27 as VH-RMA. Converted to (F) class July 1972. TPI International Airways bought October 1984 as N356Q. Afterwards this old lady turned up at several smaller cargo carriers worldwide. Amerer Air leased from December 1996, later bought August 1998 as OE-ILB. WFU and stored Linz, Austria December 2005. Buffalo Airways bought October 2006. Remarks: This Kinner-powered PT-22 was built to a 1941 USAAF order as a PT-21, serial 41-1918. It was retired from active service in 1944. It was imported to Australia in 1986 and registered on 6 October. It has recently moved to Riddell. This photo was shot at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Spring Fly-in.
