Remarks: Unusual angle of this shot...but it gives a perfect view of the gear in the retracting sequence. I had never given it a thought until I noticed it in this picture: the nose landing gear retracts and swivels 90 degrees because of the limited space due to the position of the jet intake in the nose of the aircraft!
Remarks: Beautifully restored F-86 Sabre (warbird FU-178) on final approach (landing gear down and airbrakes extended) to RWY 29 at Koksijde on the arrival day for the 2005 air show.
