Remarks: No 40 Squadron RNZAF C-130H NZ7002 (ex USAF 64-15095, Built 1965), in original Silver/White paint scheme, taxies from the RAAF Fairbairn apron in 1968. (A RAAF BAC-111 VIP Transport aircraft is visible at right.) This Hercules has worn a variety of Camouflage/ Grey paint schemes since. Although the RNZAF had only five Hercs, they made trips all around the world on a regular basis. This aircraft is still in RNZAF service in 2009. Apologies for the low quality of this 40 year old photo.
Remarks: Thanks to the crew and the RNZAF for the opportunity to see first hand our defence force in action during a PTSU(Parachute Training and Support Unit) training sortie at Whenuapai.
