Remarks: B-25s are perhaps most famous for their role in Doolittle's Raid, which involved specially outfitted B-25s being launched from the U.S.S. Hornet aircraft carrier to attack the Japanese mainland after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor (yes, just like in the movie). "Tondelayo" is seen here taxiing onto 21 for departure with its two Wright R-2600 props beginning to roar to life. That person manning the starboard machine gun is about to have the ride of his life!
