Remarks: Departing 25R with another American MD-82 taxiing in the background along with a Virgin Atlantic A340 on short final for 24R.
Remarks: Shot this from my backyard. This is a common site everyday as the departure path from RWY 25R (i believe DSERT) goes right over my house.

Remarks: American Airlines N70529 (FLT AAL1176) climbing out from RWY 25R en route to San Antonio Int'l (KSAT).
Remarks: I'm pretty sure there's a crew in there, but with the sun at this angle, you'd never know it.

Remarks: Waiting to get parked after the ramp reopens once lightening subsides. The lightening equipment detected hundreds of hits within the fence during this storm. After about 30 minutes of watching it go I finally went out to take some pics. Quite a sight indeed. This strike was just outside the perimeter fence to the East.
