This great looking S.E.5a has many original parts like Hispano-Suiza engine, fuel tank and instruments. It is painted for the April 1918 era markings of RAF No. 56 Sqn C'1096 flown by a Canadian ace Lieutenant H.J. "Hank" Burden. Captain Burden scored total 16 victories and 13 with C'1096. No. 56 Squadron was a the first RFC S.E.5 unit in April 1917. It was also a very succesful RFC/RAF unit with 26 Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5/S.E.5a aces.

Remarks: Jasta 14 painted Fokker Dr.1 Triplane replica is leading the formation with a great looking 56 sqn painted S.E.5a and an original Morane-Saulnier A1 Type XXIX painted for the colours of Escadrille MS 160 "Red Devils".
