Remarks: Well as luck would have it the weather did not play ball with us at all during our trip to FAB. Oh well i made the most of it and carried on shooting. During the Red Arrows display we were in the right position to photograph them as they performed this head on manouvere with the smoke trails in full effect. Mixed with the low sun hitting the clouds it gave quite a nice colour to the background! (1dmkii/100-400LIS)
Remarks: The front portion of this A380 on show as she powers away down the runway to begin her display at the 2006 Farnbourgh International Air Show. The conditions were less than perfect so she doesn't look at her best. On display on the front portion of this bird are the customers that have placed orders for this big double decker, currently 6 of the airlines on there have taken delivery of at least on of their A380's. Also if you look closely you can see the marks from the decals of a previous livery on this bird, the SQ logo and wording can be seen just to the left of the 'Airbus' writing. (1dmkii/100-400LIS)
Remarks: USAF F15 Strike Eagle sat on display at the 2006 Farnbourgh International Air Show. Sadly this bird didn't take to the skies that day but one of her fellow squadron members did and provided an awesome display. This F15 belongs to the 492 Squadron based out of Lakenheath i believe. Remarks: It was nice to see this big old Airbus at Farnbourgh that year. What is now common at most big airports was quite rare back then. Here is a very wide view of WOW as she taxis out to perform the display at the 2006 airshow. (1dmkii/17-40F4L)
Remarks: Russian Mig 29 rockets away from the runway at FAB with it's streamers deployed. I have to say from what i remember it did a rather good demonstration! Shame the weather was so crappy! (1dmkii/100-400LIS)
Remarks: Well when the weather isn't blue skies and bright sunshine you have to make the best of it. This was a perfect example of when the bad weather actually added to the shot. Here is the Russian Mig29 departing out of Farnbourgh for it's display kicking up some fantastic spray from the recent heavy rainshower. Said rainshower saw myself and three mates run for cover in the car toting a cool box full of beer and a 500mm and flight case! (1dmkii/100-400LIS)
