Remarks: Aviation is as much a part of life in Alaska as it is anywhere in the world. In fact, there are more pilots per capita in the 49th state than any other in the nation. Anchorage, Alaska's largest city, is the aviation hub for flights headed to all parts of the state, the country, and overseas. In this shot, we see the gravel Lake Hood Strip (Z41) in the foreground, the massive Lake Hood Seaplane Base (PALH) in the center of the frame, and behind that, the modern facilities of Anchorage International Airport (PANC). As you can imagine, this can be very busy airspace, and for an aviation enthusiast, watching everything come together between these three unique airports in such close proximity is magical.
Remarks: With all the stringent security that accompanies VIP visits to BOM, it was one helluva experience grabbing this one! Thanks Gianluca for the magical touch!
Remarks: A usual ramp shot at AMS but with 3 very unusual aircraft all together at AMS. Spice Jet 737 of India (on lone Transavia) Miami Air 737 of USA (on lone Transavia) and Buraq 737 of Libya
