Remarks: I think the -300 is the best looking in the A340 line. It’s the right length, looks stylish and those CFM56 engines matches very well with the rest of the plane. This is probably the lowest 07R departure I’ve ever seen as it was low enough to get the mountains in view, which is normally the background for 25 arrivals in the opposite direction! Quebec Delta later carried the Angry Birds logos and now wears the "Unikko" special livery.
Remarks: It was an absolute privilege to photograph DETA's two DC-10s before they stopped services here. Both DC-10s have been stored and it's unlikely they'll ever fly again.
Remarks: This ex-JAL 747 has just departed via 07R in some nice early morning light. The One-Two-GO livery was absolutely gorgeous and eye-catching in every sense of the word. Orient Thai is a very resilient airline, constantly weathering everything from economic downturns, high fuel prices, stiff competition, etc., to continue operating domestically and internationally.
Remarks: The KLM is holding at Alpha 5 to allow an Emirates B777-300ER (A6-EBT) to taxi along Alpha onto Charlie TWY for a RWY 23R departure. The Triple 7's routing is due to the WIP in Delta and Lima TWY areas, which are visible in the background.
