Remarks: Low res view of Skyship VH-HAA (carrying 'Swan Premium' beer advertising) at the Canberra Air Pageant at Canberra Airport on 13Mar1988. Airship Industries (UK) Skyship 600 VH-HAA (Cn 1215/02) was based at Bankstown, and operated in NSW and ACT in 1986-88. The Skyship wore UK Registration G-SKSD in 1986, but was re-registered as VH-HAA in 1987.
Remarks: Close cropped front Stbd view of a Replica of QANTAS’ First aircraft, on static display on a rainy day at Canberra Airport in March 1984. The Replica represents Avro 504K G-AUBG, although the Registration is not visible on the replica. The occasion was the Canberra Aero Club Open Day, and it took an Airshow to break the drought! This replica is now on display in the QANTAS Domestic Terminal at Sydney Airport. (QANTAS = Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Service.) Low res photo.
Remarks: View of the Flight Deck of Virgin Australia Airlines B737-8KG VH-VUY Cn 39450 on 05Feb2013. This Vertical aspect image emphasises the overhead console, with power and instrument lighting On. Photo taken while docked at Canberra Airport, after a 0.8 hour flight from Melbourne. Thanks to the Aircraft Captain for the Photo Opportunity. This aircraft substituted for an ERJ190 which went unserviceable in Mildura. VH-VUY (Named: Snapper Rocks) flew about 30 pax from Mildura to Melbourne, and then Flight VA271 departed YMML for YSCB (with about 50 pax) 2.5 hours late. A good 'rescue' of delayed passengers by Virgin Australia.

Remarks: Close cropped rear Stbd side view of Erickson S-64E Sky-Crane N164AC Cn 64-034D, Named 'Incredible Hulk' (Code 736), beside Hangar 47 at Canberra Airport on 11Dec2007. (There are usually three of these remarkable helicopters in Australia each Fire Season.) This type of Fire-Fighting helicopter was needed in Canberra in the week before the Firestorm on 18Jan2003. The Tenth Anniversary of this bushfire disaster was commemorated in Canberra on 18Jan2013.
Remarks: RAAF 5 Squadron AS 350B Squirrel A22-003 Cn 1742, (complete with Air Force markings) on the wet apron at RAAF Base Fairbairn in Aug1987. (A 5 Sqn UH-1H, Squirrel, and the Canberra Airport Terminal are at rear.) The helo was later operated by the Australian Defence Force Helicopter School (ADFHS). A22-003 was Delivered on 18Mar1984 and was Sold in 2002. (The helo was Civil Registered as VH-UTM on 19Sep2002. VH-UTM, as Firebird 242, was used during the 2003 Victorian Bushfires.)
