Remarks: Been chasing this plane for quite some time. In a peculiar situation this aircraft is officially registered under and always operated as Kingfisher Airlines flight IT11, this is Dr. Mallya's private corporate jet. Lifting off from runway 09 from HAL airport. Only the private jet owners and governmental bigwigs are the civilians allowed to use this in-city airport.
Remarks: Two sequential Airbus A330-200s originally of SwissAir HB-IQH and HB-IQI face each. HB-IQH was later transferred to Air Berlin as D-ABXA in August (after this photo), and HB-IQI is in its Edelweiss livery.
Remarks: The south side of the international terminal. All the gleaming white Airbus A330s/340s of the SWISS getting ready to depart in a precisely timed sequence.
The overhead contrails show the central location of Zurich in the airways over Europe.
Remarks: The north side of the international terminal. On the extreme left is the PrivatAir BBJ 737 which operates the Zurich Newark non-stop. The rich silk purple of the Thai Airways A340-600 in stark contrast to the gleaming white of SWISS.
Remarks: In the setting sun at dusk. A view that is not likely to come again anytime soon. The 09 end of runway 27-09 was being repaired and runway 27 was shortened. We were allowed right on the non-operational portion of the runway so close to the planes. Thanks MIAL.
