Remarks: AF gets ready to line up on the way to CDG on a hazy June afternoon. Friendly AF flight crews always respond to photographers at "the fence" with a wave and a smile.
Remarks: St. Maarten is not all about boobs, and beaches and sun, 24/7!
Taken seconds before sunset, a flash storm came in, hurrying many boats to seek shore quickly.
Check out this storm chasing this plane in.
Remarks: All I wanted was to experience the thrill of Maho Beach and maybe take a photo that has not yet been taken.
I am proud to say that this is indeed a rare photo.
She normally leaves in the early evening but tonight, she left a few hours late after apparently getting dinged by a belt loader.
ADDENDUM: correction, thanks to Miguel, the TRUE reason she left late was because the pilot stated the runway was "contaminated." What happened was that a few hours before, there was a short rain shower, leaving the runway wet. So from what I understand, the crew had to wait until the runway was dry enough to takeoff. I suppose that is to maximize performance during that climb up and away from the mountain at the mountain at the end of the runway.
I hope this is a jetphotos.net first, a nightshot of a heavy at SXM.
