Remarks: Preserved at the Musée de l'Air et de l`Espace since 1970, but in 2004 it was repainted in these fake colours. It now represents USAAF 42-100558 'Buzz Buggy', but it is in fact ex France Air Force 92449, F-BEFB, USAAF 42-92449. The real 42-100558 went to Uruguay Air Force as T-510 in 1949. In the back you can see 2 former WW2 enemies: the german Foke-Wulf F190 and the soviet Yak 3.
Remarks: Seen in the Musee de l'Air et de l'Espace, the Griffon was a response to a 1953 requirement for a light supersonic interceptor. The prototype first flew in September 1955 and this, the second aircraft, flew in January 1957. In October 1959 it attained a speed of Mach 2.19, 2,300km/h at 15,000 metres.
