Remarks: Looking mean and moody, this Special Ops. MH-53M Pave Low III certainly looks the part. The beast comes from the 21st SOS/352nd SOG based at Mildenhall.
Remarks: The very kind pilot of this aircraft invited me in to have a look inside, he said that it was a very heavy beast to fly due to the fact that it had no fly by wire system bieng an old aircraft, hence the fact it has old clockwork gauges.
Remarks: When i finnaly got into the flight deck of the pilatus, i noticed that it has exelent visibility. i expected to see a hole in the horizon, caused by the panel. but the visibility is good in the aircraft. the pilot told me that the pilatus is very heavy on the controls as it has a very long wing which causes high G loading. so you need to be a muscle man to fly it.
Remarks: The piper cherokee is waiting to be refueled. this is when i landed my cessna 150 reg
G-AYBD, me and my instructor went up into the control tower to pay the landing fee. then it was back to Shoream .
