Remarks: Climbing out of a cold but sunny Luton on another service to Ireland, this ATR-72 first flew in February 1996 as F-WWED before being delivered in March of that year to Cityflyer Express as G-BWTM, before going on to F-WQNH and then on to its current life with Aer Arann.
Remarks: An empty "India Bravo" climbs steeply out of a sunny but cold Luton. This Airbus first flew in Septmber 1983 as F-GDVC and started her airline career, flying as N235EA with Eastern Air Lines for nine years before moving to Continental Air Lines as N14977 in May 1992. Four years passed and another owner, Carnival Airlines, meant that her registration changed again, this time N227KW was applied and she flew on for two more years before she was WFU and stored at Marana. Thankfully this grand old lady was saved from the breakers yard when she was converted to a freighter in May 1999, registered N59274 (ntu) and then subsequently PH-SFM when she was leased to Schreiner Airways, leaving the Arizona sunshine behind her to head east to Europe. Subsequent registrations of EI-DHL and her current one OO-DIB, with European Air Transport, followed. Today she transports parcels and packages to all parts of Europe....long may she continue to do so.
Remarks: Taking off from a cold but clear Luton, "Sierra Charlie" jets off to one of the many destinations served by Ryanair throughout Europe with more passengers taking advantage of the cheap flights that this low cost carrier can offer them.
Remarks: A welcome diversion from a fog-bound Stansted, this EOS Boeing 757 first flew in January 1992 as N754AT with American Trans Air before going on to fly with Mexicana as N755MX. The latest phase of her career see's her with EOS, flying between London and New York in a luxurious "first class only" seating configuration.
Remarks: Air brakes still extended, this European Air Transport A300 lands at a cold, frosty Luton. This old lady first started life in September 1983 as F-GDVC. Her airline career began as N325EA with Eastern Airines and took her Continental as N14977 and then Carnival Airlines as N227KW. Her passenger carrying days ended in 1998 when she was WFU and stored at Marana. Thankfully she survived the breakers torch and after nearly a year in the Arizona sunshine was converted to a freighter. Her new lease of life began when she was registered to Schreiner Airways as PH-SFM in May 1999. Since then she has carried the registration EI-DHL and now carries parcels and packages across Europe with European Air Transport as OO-DIB.
