Remarks: The Dominie originated as the military version of the De Havilland Jet Dragon and entered service at RAF Stradishall, Suffolk, in 1965. It remains the RAF s rear crew trainer, with 55 Sqn at RAF Cranwell, 42 years later. Spares are increasingly difficult to source, especially voltage regulators, and maintenance contractor Serco makes valiant efforts to keep them airworthy.
