Remarks: Rare low res view of Kamov Ka-32 helicopter CCCP-31064 on static display at the 1992 Avalon Airshow. I saw a similar helo at the Richmond (NSW) Airshow on 13Oct1988 (CCCP-31000). The use of a pair of contra-rotating three-blade rotors (on a common concentric mast) is an engineering wonder. Main rotor drive torque is cancelled, hence there is no tail rotor. Kazan Helicopters Mil Mi-17 CCCP-70895 is at rear. Both Helicopters were delivered to Avalon in Russia Air Force An-124-100 Ruslan CCCP-82033. Australian Airlines Boeing 727-276 VH-TBQ (Named Lawrence Hargrave) is also at rear.
Remarks: Used as a prop for an ITV hospital drama (Always and everyone) on the unfinished M60 after use as a prop the forward fuselage section was donated to the Manchester Airport fire section,where it still resides today as G-SMOKE.
Remarks: There was an accident in 1968 about 50kms from Nice airport with a Caravelle. Few minutes after take off, a fire originated in the cockpit. Emergency was decleared, but the plane never made it to Nice. Now another Caravelle welcomes the visitors at Nice airport.
Remarks: Interior of the original Soyuz TM-34 displayed in Genoa for a science exhibition.Surely not comfortable seats for the astronauts.Sorry for the quality but the interior was protected by a sloping glass.
