Remarks: On short final for rwy 22L arriving from Chicago as SK944. In Star Alliance colors. The wind was 220 degrees and around 30 knots and gusting even higher. Later in the day the airport had to cancel all operations due to gale force wind.
Remarks: BA006 Tokyo NRT - London LHR sails through the twighlight sky as we pass over the "New Siberian Islands" at FL390 with an OAT of -80C or -112F. Which would explain the insane proximity of the forming Contrails off our wing. Daylight wont be seen again here for another 4 months!
Remarks: VS900 "Miss Kitty" makes her way to T1 here at Narita. Co-Pilot is still raving it out. It would seem Virgin are the only airline in the world that plays Techno on arrival. ;-)
