Remarks: Perfect spotting location at the treshold of rwy 23L with an excellent view over large parts of the ramp as well. Photo dedicated to my brother Wessel; the man who provides me with all the required info to my pics (like flightnrs, photodata etc). Thanks mate!!
Remarks: Early morning line up with a close up of 3 757's with winglets. Also an Onur Air A321 and MD-82, a Delta 767-300, US Airways A330-300, a Virgin Atlantic 747-400, a Qatar A330-200 and finally a Turkaz A321 starting up.
Remarks: You can clearly see the difference in size of the 767 and the 757 in this shot Jet 2 757 is taxying to the hold while AA 767 is pushed back BMI Baby 737 is made ready as is Fly be Dash 8 in the background
Remarks: The view from 'The Mound' at Manchester, and jp.net photographer Martin Robson in action getting a shot of this AA 767 in great light, and showing off his legs again! sorry about that viewers, I did tell him to cover them up!
Remarks: The view from 'The Pond' at Manchester.
Teun Sans (left) and Ronald Vermeulen (centre), Dutch Aviation taking a photo of a Libyan Cargo An-124, while my good friend Ian Chantler (right) seems to be taking a photo of the red and white airport weather instrument, strange fellow!
Remarks: This is the famous "mound" at Manchester - situated off a footpath adjacent to the threshold of runway 24L - probably one the best spots in Europe for getting this close.
I don't know these two gents in the picture so if its you and you'd rather it not be in the database (if it gets accepted) let me know and I'll remove it.
Remarks: Problems with runway 05L required several hours of single runway ops on 05R with aircraft backtracking for departure in batches of 3 with consequent delays in both departures and arrivals at peak time. Here a Jet2 757 leads an Air Finland 757 and EasyJet A320 for departure while a further 3 aircraft wait their turn and one arrival makes its way to its stand
