Remarks: What's this all about then? Someone said something to do with the Union 'Unite' and the talks regarding the BA cabin crew, but why paint this on the side? It's meaningless to 99% of the travelling public.
Remarks: Bauhinia 9228 arriving from Toulouse via Dubai on delivery. Who would have thought that a small tin-pot airline like Hong Kong Airlines would be the second airline in the world to take delivery of an A330F! This shows a close-up of the new landing gear fairing unique to the A330F. This is because the normal A330 has a nose-down attitude when on the ground. This is no good for loading freight since a level floor is preferred. Airbus as a result lengthened the nosegear to make the floor level but this was now too long to fit inside the nosegear well, so the gear well needed to be enlarged and as a result there is a fairing there.

Remarks: Special titles commemorating Lufthansa's long partnership with Boeing. My first sighting of this aircraft and lucky enough to get it in sunlight as well!
Remarks: Departing in the golden light of dusk bound for Paris. With the rear cockpit window shade up, it looks like the F/O's side window is open, although I am sure it isn't!
Remarks: Revised titles and tail colours on this Orient Thai 747-300. I think I prefer the older titles, although this airline seems to change their scheme slightly every year!
Remarks: A nice and heavy 777 with the green hills in the background. You can see the First Officer peering out the window into the sun as they climb away from runway 25L.
Remarks: A nice surprise for me, especially as Cebu is not traditionally one of those holiday destinations for Russians, until I realised that Dalavia is based in Eastern Russia. I assume the traditional holiday places in Europe are too far for them and that Cebu is a relatively close choice!
Remarks: Kai Tak today. The area is still recognizable as an airport but there is a lot of construction on it now. 12 years after Kai Tak closed, the fuel-soaked soil has been flushed out and various housing and commercial projects have begun, most notably a large cruise terminal complex which will be built along the 'runway'.
Remarks: At the time a 'new' addition to the N- register, a few days later this aircraft was noted in Guam then Honolulu. N131MS is no longer a current registration. A bit of a mystery this one!
