Remarks: 1944 Tiger Moth which originally served with a Czech squadron and is now named "Spirit of Pashley" after the English aviation pioneer, Cecil Pashley MBE who trained vast amounts of pilots in both World Wars and also founded the South Coast Flying Club. One of Pashley's more famous students was the engineer F G Miles who founded Miles Aircraft and produced such notable machines such as the Magister basic trainer and the Mohawk commissioned, as it was, from none other than Charles Lindburgh. It was an unforgettable experience to have taken control of this piece of history during my 30 minute flight in as perfect weather as could be hoped for.
