Remarks: [1200 px] This is one of the 8 Air India Boeing 777-200LRs. Bought with the aim of starting non stop flights to US, Air India wasn't successful in starting off all the planned non stops due to high fuel prices & the recession of 2008/09, though AI does operate to EWR/JFK/YYZ/ORD. Now with the 787s being delivered, they would replace these 200LRs on the flagship routes as AI plans to get rid of 5 of these. This bird features a F8C35Y195 configuration & was delivered on 03-03-2008. This is named 'Haryana' after a state in Northern India.
Remarks: This 24 year old Fokker has been donated by KLM and is now on display on top of the panorama terrace of the Schiphol airport. Its cockpit is open to the visitors.
