Picture of the Skywarrior Ranger 16 from VQ-2 squadron (Rota, Spain)just two or three days before that one of its sisterships (Ranger 12, BuNo 144850) suffered a dramatic accident in the Ionian Sea when attempted to land on this carrier. The aircraft slammed the deck then skidded down the flight deck and fell into the sea. The seven member of its crew killed. (January 25, 1987 at 23:28)
