Remarks: [KR64] One of my favourite aircraft in this superb livery! In 1972, Captain Steve Ritchie shot down 5 Mig 21s (hence the five red stars beside the nacelle) and became the USAF ace of the Vietnam War. For the Golden Air Tattoo Ritchie piloted this Phantom painted as his plane during the Vietnam War, which was brought from 20th FS, the German training squadron
Remarks: And they call this summer?? This must have been one of the worst weather conditions ever, during a TLP in summer! A Greek F-4E on the apron of a very very wet Florennes, next to a US Air Force F-15E (serial: 98-0132 from Lakenheath). The final mission of this TLP2006-3 was aborted later that day. Since the pilots were not bothered because of this bad weather, I also tried to make the best of it (although I was soakingly wet during this photoshoot, and long afterwards ;-)...)
Remarks: Four Greek F-4E Phantom II's on the ultra wet apron of Florennes AFB during the final day of TLP2006-3. The Greeks (serials: 71744, 71758, 71755 & 01526) did not launch this day and the mission was later aborted because of the dreadful weather.

Look at the water streaming over the fuselage. The final mission of this TLP2006-3 was aborted later that day. (First time in the database)
Remarks: Awful weather conditions during the last day of this TLP2006-3 session! This Greek Phantom will be very happy to return to its sunny home country soon ;-). Look how the pooring rain converts this matt color scheme into a reflecting livery!

Remarks: This Greece Air Force F-4E is seen at the ramp of Florennes AFB under dreadful weather conditions. The final mission of this TLP2006-3 was later cancelled because of the bad weather. Hope to see these beautiful birds again under better circumstances!
