Remarks: English Rose rotates for the start of her long flight to Orlando. This elegant 400 series has recently replaced Virgin 200's on this route. Looking splendid as she races out of a wet Manchester.
Remarks: English Rose roars away from a wet Manchester as James Rowson and Dale Coleman shoot this beast. Virgin's new 747-400 service to Orlando, replacing the aging 200's is a welcome sight. This shot gives the distinct impression that the photographers are on the same level as the departing 747. Whereas, really there is a 40ft hill in front of them and then a 20ft high fence before you are/airside.
Remarks: Climbing away from runway 24L against a cloudy sky bound for Orlando as the previous departure, a Qatar A330, is seen on the right at the start of its journey to Doha
