Remarks: A true classic! The last flying Belfast just metres in front of our eyes! It was moved back to the western side of Cairns airport on 19 August 2011, after spending the best part of a year sitting on the Cairns International apron. The good news is that it appears that it is being prepared to be flown out of Cairns in the near future.
Remarks: [1600pxls] This one is surely dedicated to the 2 Red Arrows pilots that lost their life tragically during the 2011 display season. May they rest in peace and watch all the spotters and of course the Red Arrows from above.
Remarks: The beautiful taking off while getting into her trademark steep climb for its breathtaking display at RIAT 2011, as everyone in the ground stirs at her enjoying the revving sound of 4× Bristol Olympus engines..everytime I see this aircraft I say to myself, I've saw the most beautiful aircraft that has ever been built..

Remarks: A Boxing day present from the US Navy...VP-47 Squadron - The Golden Swordsmen. Came direct from NAS Sigonella as Romeo Delta 12 for a couple of touch and go circuits in our base airport. As it's based in MCAS Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, it's quite a surprise to find it such a long way from home!
Remarks: [1600px] The 2nd Basler that landed in MLA in less then then 3 months seen lifting its tale during the take-off role (the 1st one still based here). This one was built in 1944 as a DC-3 and was upgraded to a Basler in late 90s. Always splendid to see such an old machine flying nowadays!
