Remarks: The complete airfield at Kiel. To the left the civil part and to the right the old military part.
Right of the runway at the coast you can see the base of the Germany-Navy (Marinefliegergeschwader 5).
During the date of the picture the home of the german Seaking helicopters. Actual they moved to Nordholz and the military-base will be closed soon!
Remarks: Every time I've departed Hong Kong, it's either been a very hazy day or a late departure. This time we managed to climb very quickly and achieve a view like this. I hope you can see why Hong Kong Airport is referred to as 'Jumbo Jet Paradise'... On the far right you can see Sha Lo Wan - a very popular area for Hong Kong Spotters, whilst on the left is Tung Chung (area where the famous cable car begins). So many photos in the archive, so plenty more to come! Hope you enjoy :)
Remarks: Having been to Duxford airshow many times as a child, it was great to finally be able to fly-in myself on airshow day. Here we are on short final for RWY24R early in the morning before the crowds arrive. It's not often you are asked by ATC to expedite your exit of the runway due to the 'Dragon Rapide on final behind you'.
