Remarks:"Qantas 7556" once again opperated by this awesome scheme taxis via alpha to depart to Melbourne after arriving from Honolulu a few hours earlier. A very lucky shot as the sun only came out for 2 minutes as this taxied out!
Remarks:"Port Douglas" rolls past on t'way charlie in the early morning light bound for Melbourne as QF409 wearing the brand new Wallabies scheme in support of the Australia Rugby Union team as they set out to defeat the UK and Irish Lions in the upcoming 2013 Lions Tour. Nowhere near as good as Air New Zealand's aircraft that supports their rugby team!
Remarks:"Porpoise Bay" on the tow forward to disconnect for departure to Cooly as VA519 with Tim Bowrey behind the wheel of the tug and Nathan Lumsden watching on next to him.
Remarks:"United 840" nice and low over Ross Smith Avenue on very short finals for RWY25 at lunch time arriving from Melbourne. This aircraft would later depart to San Fransisco as UA870 whilst the other UA 744 would depart on the second leg of UA840 to Los Angeles.
