Remarks: One of the Centennial of Naval Aviation special paint schemes. This "Seaplane Grey" bottom with "Insignia White" top scheme was used on the P-5 Marlin and P-2V Neptune planes from 1957-63. They are also using the logo of VP-6 "Blue Sharks" on the tail, though this plane is operated by VP-9.
Remarks: Painted in a special heritage paint scheme as part of the Centennial of Naval Aviation celebration. It is called "Strawberry 5" and was used on the PBY-5 Catalina Flying Boat of VP-44 in the Battle of Midway in 1942.
