Remarks: Manufactured 1996 for Singapore Aircraft Leasing (G-OITL), where Alitalia leased back from April 1996. A year later this aircraft suffered significant damage on landing in crosswind in Newark May 22 1997, when the 1.8G primary touchdown followed by a forced, 2.8G on nose gear, with all main landing gears lifting in the air, hence all the ground spoilers fully retracted. Afterwards I-DEIL was visible tailless for a short time in a Newark hangar. Rebuilt worth more than USD 20M and went back to service. Seen here in front of the technical ramp in Ferihegy.
