Remarks: The BA and BMI maintenance areas. Photo taken while taking off from runway 09R on an Aer Lingus flight to Cork. I believe that the Concorde will be moved to Terminal 5 when it opens in March 2008. Wish the weather was a little better!
Remarks: BA Maint base inc Concorde and BA B747 on short finals, with the London skyline in the background. The London Eye, the Gherkin, Canary Wharf and the Dome all visible
Remarks: Just departed from Heathrow to the U.S.A. with United N780UA just below us is the British Airways hangers that for most of the time used to occupied by Concorde
Remarks: An early departure from Rwy 27L allowed me to get a fantastic view of Terminal 3 accommodating over 15 different airlines and around 10 different aircraft!
Remarks: Looking towards Terminal 2, back in the late 80's. This spot, on top of Car Park 2, used to be a great alternative to the Queen's Building (and it was free!). Just above the yellow Terminal sign, spectators on the famous Queen's Building roof can be seen.
Remarks: The second and, so far, most famous control tower at Heathrow, completed in 1955 and about to be replaced by the new tower. This is the view of the old from the new. The future of this building is uncertain at the moment.
Remarks: View of the complete airport area in the early morning taken just after departure on our way back to Germany. Gives impression of the giantic dimensions of the new terminal 5 which will be opened next year. Can you find the new Wembley stadium?[Canon 350D]
