Remarks: Late in the evening, flight XQ141 bound for Antalya suffered an engine failure during takeoff-roll on rwy 18. A loud bang was heard and a cloud of smoke burst from the left engine. Pilots skillfully slowed down the aircraft and put it on taxiway S. A dozen of fire-engines surrounded the aircraft within minutes. On the picture you can see a few officers inspecting the suffered P&W.
In terminals, the flight XQ141 was marked as "delayed". The passengers flew to Antalya only next morning. Certainly not the best start for the holidays.
