Remarks: Now in the colours of Philippine Airlines subsidiary AirPhil Express, their low cost division. Keeping the nose up high after landing on runway 06.
Remarks: Not a business jet type that you see in Asia very often, although a few of these do operate in Philippines for the local airlines. Still, a very nice and unexpected sight for me!
Remarks: The attractive scheme of the ex-Air Philippines, now rebranded as AirPhil Express. This is the subsidiary of Philippine Airlines, a low cost carrier designed to counter the ever-growing Cebu Pacific.
Remarks: Wearing basic AirPhil Express colours prior to being painted (presumably) into the full scheme. PAL Express (Operated by Air Philippines) was recently rebranded to AirPhil Express, a low-cost division of Philippine Airlines designed to counter Cebu Pacific Airlines.
Remarks: First photo of the new PAL 747 economy cabin, Over the Philippines, in between Hong Kong and Manila, aboard one of Philippine Airlines newly refurbished 747-400s, and the only combi in her fleet, in a unique 391 seat configuration, showing off the wonderful Recaro Economy Class seats, and AVOD system. Interesting fact, some of the exit signs in the forward section of the aircraft are in Arabic!
Remarks: Qantas' VH-EBL arriving in Manila right on sunset. I boarded this flight an hour later as QF20 to Sydney, but we had to divert to Cairns in the middle of the night due to a small fire in the cockpit caused by a short circuit in the windscreen demister.
