Remarks: Completely stripped of any spare parts worthy to be sold, this ageing 747-400 will shortly be scrapped. Sad when I saw this aircraft delivered new and have flown on it as crew many times when I used to fly the 747.
Remarks: One of only two A320s operated by the Philippines division of AirAsia, seemingly the so-far least successful division of the large AirAsia brand. They seem unable to expand beyond their two aircraft but recently bought existing Philippine carrier ZestAir with the hope of expanding their presence in the country.
Remarks: With several of the ANA 787s still out of use in the background, this bright and cheery Solaseed 737-800 lines up on runway 16R for departure.
Remarks: To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China from British rule Cathay & Dragonair added “10th Anniversary” logos on a couple of their A330s in 2007.
Remarks: The first 733 freighter for Tri-MG seen here approaching 20R at Singapore’s Changi. This one is leased from and operated by Malaysia’s Neptune Air. I don’t know if it's still with Tri-MG as they have their own 733(SF) now, PK-YGG, in their proper scheme (if you can call it that!). 9M-NEF has been with many airlines throughout its life starting off with Air Europe in ’88 as a passenger aircraft G-BNPA.
Remarks: Korean Air BCF departing on a very hot summer's day but with light and conditions like this making it absolutely worth it. One of 5 BCFs currently with Korean Air Cargo.
Remarks: The National Airlines scheme is easily one of the best in the industry today and the 747s look amazing in it. Sadly on 04/29/2013 this aircraft crashed on takeoff from Bagram, Afghanistan with the loss of everyone onboard. Originally delivered to Air France as a -428 F-GISE in ‘93. It started flying with National in 2010 operated by Air Atlanta as TF-NAD and was then re-registered as N949CA in 2011. They operated a series of charters to Hong Kong in the past.
Remarks: Connie taxiing out for a 07R departure. One of a pair of 747s at Kalitta in this hybrid Kalitta/DHL livery after the two companies partnered up. N743CK was originally a JAL passenger -446 and JAL Cargo -446(BCF) as JA8906.
