Remarks: Aer Lingus operates 22 A320s (as well as six 321s) to short haul destinations in Britain and Europe. ‘Caoilfhionn’ is seen here approaching Runway 15 at BHX from Sheldon Country Park.
Remarks: Lufthansa has a 49% stake in Dortmund-based Eurowings and its fleet of seventeen CRJ-200s now wears the Lufthansa livery, on whose behalf they operate. This one was photographed when some of them wore the Eurowings livery, and is shown approaching Runway 15 at BHX, from Sheldon Country Park on a humid summer day.
Remarks: A BA Connect Avroliner approaching Runway 15 at BHX, seen from Sheldon Country Park. BA Connect has been taken over by Flybe, so the future of the fourteen-ship RJ and 146 fleet is uncertain, although BA will retain some for operation from London City. (Note the high-vis jacket hanging up behind the co-pilot’s seat in the cockpit.)
Remarks: One of three 737s leased by Flybe from Astraeus (hence the registration) during 2005 and 2006 and operated from Birmingham and Exeter. Flybe now has two Embraer 195s and has a further twelve on order which will soon replace the last of the thirteen 146s and the 737s. The grey, white and blue of an English summer sky matches the Flybe livery perfectly.
