Remarks: Most didn't even glance our way, but this guy was happy even though he had to navigate clear across the airport after landing on 17L. Shot from Founders Plaza. We were obviously close enough to see the remains of the original AA 757 stickers under the cockpit window.
Remarks: Except for the over-zealous DFW policewoman, it was nearly a perfect trip. Then this took off...it was perfect. A vintage 1971 DC-8 with the original smoke belching engines. Sweet!
Remarks: In Tulsa for some mx work, ETPOS qualified ship 369 sits in front of the TUL tower with the cockpit windows and front doors opened for ventilation.
Remarks: Fedex 515 heavy (A306) on short final for 8. Fun to watch the heavy jets land in a 15+ mph South crosswind due to the main N/S runway being closed for the next month.
Remarks: It had been a good afternoon...then this came over from the mx base. The light was right, a classic plane in a great scheme. The day was now complete.
