Remarks: Rare photo of Ansett's second Boeing 737 Registered VH-CZM, docked at Tullamarine in 1995. The first was Boeing 737-277(Adv) Cn 22645. The Boeing 737-377 started Ansett service on 11Oct88, and was leased to America West Airlines as N113AW from 26Oct89 to 30Sep91. I did a 0.8 hour flight in the B737-377 from YSCB to YMML on 20Mar95, to attend an Aerospace Conference and the 1995 Avalon Airshow. I was on the same aircraft for the return flight on 26Mar95. Apologies for the baggage loading equipment in the photo. Low res photo.
Remarks: An 'Ansett.' Fokker 50 awaits passengers on the Canberra Airport apron, for another hop to Sydney. In the background are RAAF 34 Sqn BAC-111s (A12-124 and A12-125) and VIP HS748s A10-595 and A10-596), plus Squirrel training helicopters at RAAF Fairbairn. I was booked on Ansett F-50s four times before I flew in one. Flights with low bookings were frequently cancelled. Ansett was the world's first operator of F-50s. Low res photo.
Remarks: An Ansett Airlines of Australia Boeing 737-277, taken after it taxied past the RAAF Officers Mess at Townsville. The aircraft is on a slightly banked taxiway, about to turn onto the main runway. It was too dark to see the aircraft's Registration after sunset. The orange glow in the sky was magnificent that evening. Low res photo.
Remarks: Rear view of Ansett A320 VH-HYJ taxying South at Canberra Airport in 1999. Ansett ceased operations in Sept 2001. (Registration VH-HYJ is now on a Robinson R-22 Helicopter.) Low Res photo.
Remarks: Aerial view (looking past the Port engine cowling of our Boeing 767) of a wet Sydney International Terminal in 1993. Photo taken from Ansett B767-277 VH-RMH on a dark rainy Summer day, after take-off from Rwy 34L for a 1.0 hour flight to Brisbane. There is a Boeing 727 and six Boeing 747s in the photo. They include a Qantas B747-338 and an Australia-Asia B747SP-38. Low Res photo.
