Remarks: Air New Zealand 744 departs 27L in the very last of the light we had that day. Looking very graceful as she lifts just above the perimiter fence and starts a long journey back to Auckland via Los Angeles, CA. This 747 is named 'Rotorua'. (5D2/70-200F2.8LIS)
Remarks: BNLX is wheels up and making it's way to San Francisco, USA as BA287 with a wheels up time of 15:54pm on this cold winters day. (5D2/70-200F2.8LIS)
Remarks: Now i have to say this was one of the stranger things i saw this day. This Air Canada 767 was operating AC849 direct service to Toronto, Canada. However on departure and for the entire time until we saw it dissapear in the distance this 767 left it's gear down in the locked position. No idea why, or if there was a problem but it certainly wasn't something you expect to see. Here is FCAB a good way into her departure with her gear still fully down. (5D2/70-200F2.8LIS)
Remarks: During the winter months when the runway change comes at 3pm you only get around an hour or so of shooting on 27L at the Esso. However if the weather is clear then the light is fantastic! YMMS departs 27L as BA81 to Accra, Ghana. Looking great! (5D2/70-200F2.8LIS)
Remarks: One of BA's triple seven's departs 27L bound for Seattle, Washington as BA049. I love the GE90's in this late afternoon light, especially when the fog starts to appear in the engine like it did that day. (5D2/70-200F2.8LIS)
Remarks: Virgin A340-600 departing 27L in some fantastic light! Love shooting at this spot, one of my real favourites to catch the last rays of the day. (5D2/70-200F2.8LIS)
Remarks: A nice side on of this Gulf Air A330 landing on 27L. Wearing the special 'Bahrain International Airshow' sticker as well as the updated 2010 'Bahrain Grand Prix' details. (5D2/70-200F2.8LIS)
