Remarks: Way back in 2008 on my way to Office I Captured this "Queen of the Skies" Arriving from Narita on Runway 27. That's the time when the New Delhi International Airport had no T3, no Runway 29. Capturing these beauties used to bring immense pleasure. Here we see VT-EPW "Shivaji" First Delivered to Air India on 21-10-1988 with a config of F16C40Y227/Cargo and after 20 years of Service to the Nation was stored in Bombay in 2008.
Remarks: Oh you mighty GE90-115B! Time and time again, you make me fall in love for you! Seen here is one of the power plant of the Mighty Boeing 777-337ER of Air India.
Trivia on the GE90-115B
The GE90-115B, the world's most powerful turbofan engine, is the exclusive powerplant for Boeing's longer-range 777-300ER and -200LR twinjets. During its initial ground tests, a GE90 engine achieved unprecedented power for a jet engine, reaching 122,965 pounds of thrust. However, In late 2002, the GE90-115B broke its original record by reaching 127,900 pounds of thrust during final certification testing. The new record was set while completing a required U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 150-hour block test. During this intensive test, the engine ran for approximately 60 hours at triple red-line conditions (maximum fan speed, maximum core speed and maximum exhaust gas temperature) to evaluate the engine at its operational limits.

Remarks:EMIRATES 513 pushed back, and the tug is being pulled out as the Boeing 777-300ER is preparing for head back home to Dubai International Airporton this cold winter morning. This was a pleasant surprise as it was the 772 that was scheduled, and we got to see the 777-300ER :). With this shot came the end of what was a memorable airside spotting session at Delhi Airport. However, little was known at this time that we would be back again in 5 months for another airside spotting trip. Special thanks to DGCA, DIAL and API for giving us this airside spotting opportunity.
Remarks: [1400 px] A unique perspective of the 'Queen of the Skies'! Getting a clear shot in very strong heat haze was a major challenge. Also, 2 more 747s on the ramp were all covered by ramp vehicles! I was determined to get a shot out of this & thankfully managed to do it! Dedicated to my friends YS, Sri & GB who love the Queen!
