The aircraft, Named: Larry Blackman, was ex Trans Australia Airlines (TAA) VH-SBW, also Registered as P2-SBW. (Registration P2-ANQ was later used on an Air Niugini Fokker 100 Cn 11451.)

Remarks: Abandoned Air Niugini DC-3 P2-ANZ (Cn 13340) at Lae Nadzab Airport (AYNZ) Papua New Guinea in early 1988. The aircraft, retired from ANG service in July 1978, was ex Ansett VH-MAT, later P2-MAT. Registration P2-ANZ was later used on Air Niugini Dash 8-Q202 Cn 421.) Low res photo. Apologies for quality.
Remarks: (Built 1991) touching down on Rwy 19 as PX023 from Port Moresby. Ex PT-MRF, EI-DGE and 9N-ANH before joining the Air Niugini fleet in January 2007.
Remarks: Nearly gave up on photographing this bird of paradise due to the rain, but nearing the arrival, the skies cleared, and PX 392 from Port Moresby arrived basking in the golden evening light.
