Remarks: "Maluti" tuches down at her final resting place with grass, gravel and dust being sucked into the engines due to the fact that the runway is so narrow. She will join the ever growing fleet of aircraft at the SAA museum at Rand airport. (Canon 300D Rebel)
Remarks: I received a ton of requests after posting my initial photo of this hairy landing asking for more, so here it is! While this shot doesn't show the waters of Maho Bay, it does show just how low this G-V was as it crossed Rhine Road and the airport perimeter, as well as the stunned reaction of everyone on Maho Beach who couldn't believe what they were witnessing!
Remarks: Inflight 9I688 on initial descend into Kuala Lumpur from Bangkok. Not very often you will see a 3 man cockpit working on a short 2 hours flight. The glamour of flying classic jets! [Nikon D2x, Nikkor 10.5mm f2.8/G ED DX]
Remarks: By far the most incredible take off I've whitnessed from RWY17. 747-200 rotating crosswinded, making it drop out from the RWY axis and aim in a totally different direction! Just look at that. Look at the people on the left taking shelter!
Remarks: What a tunderstorm!! C-GABO parked on the ramp, behind a CRJ takes off heading toward the storm. Note that you can see the shadow of the CRJ (twice) because of the lightning.
Remarks: This airplane crashed while landing on runway 24L at Pearson Airport on the evening of August 2, 2005. Luckily, everyone aboard made it out alive!
Remarks: Captain Jordi Manzano is doing the last corrections to land in RNW11 while Captain José Maturana is giving the last wind update. Flight UX1311 from Madrid-Warsaw. The next day in our way back to Madrid, with this aircraft, we did the 1st Air Europa's operational CPDLC flight with great success. Dedicated to AEA Operations Dpt.
Remarks: (Photo 2 of 4) Touchdown, and I think I'm about to see an accident here. The pilot managed to point the aircraft in completely the wrong direction on a dry runway with little crosswind. Scary stuff.
