Remarks: This is one of my fist night shots! Fortunately it stood a few minutes on the runway to warm up the engines. I made a 30 seconds exposure but it accelerated a few seconds early so the AN seems like a ghost and you see the terminal in the background.
Remarks: This was a shot I had been dreaming of a long way back, I was just so fortunate enough to get it on the DC-8's final week of service with Arrow. Dedicated to all the Diesel-8 lovers out there! [Canon EOS 350D Digital Rebel XT + Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L IS USM]
Remarks: Azza Air Transport B707, ST-AKW, crashed shortly after take off on 21.10.09 at 3.29pm local time killing the 6 crew members on the aircraft. It looks like the aircraft struggled gaining altitude and instead of crashing directly ahead in the city of Sharjah, the pilot crashed the aircraft on the right (north-east) in a desertic area close to the airport. Sorry for the bad quality of the pic, but the police pushed away every curious people driving near the site and just managed to shoot this pic with my 400mm at full length and had to even close up the pic. And due to the haze/heat disertation, the pic is not of good quality. Some parts of the aircraft are still visible, such as a possible engine and wing or tail on the left of the road and some more material on the right side
Remarks: "Phillip Island" also known as "Oneworld" logojet prior towing into Gate 121 at the Tom Bradley Int. Terminal after completing Qantas Flight # 108 from New York JFK.
