Remarks: Another one from the OUP diversions which back then were quite common at our airport..unfortunately it all ended last October when NATO decided to end the 'No-Fly-Zone' over Libya.
Remarks: Libya Crises :- One of the various diversions we had during the thousands of Close Air Support missions being flown by Nato. Seen here is one of a pair of Mirage 2000, this one a D model and other one an N model that had to divert to Malta with a broken (completely lost) refuelling probe tip. Upon landing, this one (D) burst a tyre ! .... Seen carrying Paveway laser guided bombs underneath centreline hard points integrated with Damocles laser designator pod on the front (starboard) point seen in photo just in front of fuel tank tip.
Remarks: [1600pix] Libya Crisis- Diversion of two Mirage 2000s to MLT due to the fact that one of them had a missing fuel probe (Mirage in the background which is a Mirage 2000N). This one here unfortunately burst one of the rear tyres upon landing.
Remarks: Ramp shot at apron 4 a day after diverting in the middle of a Libya related mission. Reason was due a mishap while attempting an air-to-air refuelling by one of the M2000s. Incidentally the other one blew a tyre upon landing. Departed safely a few days later after being repaired.

Remarks: Departing after diverting here 2 days earlier with its buddy which lost the front part of the fuel probe when attempting and air-to-air refuelling. Coincidently, this M2000 blew the right tyre when landing making both aircrafts unserviceable. Fortunately enough they got fixed by a team of technicians.
