Remarks: RAAF 3 Squadron F/A-18A A21-55 dominates a Classic Formation of RAAF Fighter aircraft at the 2008 Amberley Defence Airshow. The other aircraft are 76 Squadron Hawk 127 LIF A27-31 (armed with Sidewinders), Meteor VH-MBX (A77-851), Vampire VH-VAM (A79-617), and CAC Mustang VH-MFT (A68-769). The Meteor and Vampire are operated by the Temora Aviation Museum. This is a RAAF Fighter Pilot's Dream Formation. The only significant aircraft missing are a Mirage and Sabre (and the Temora Aviation Museum will fly Sabre A94-983 in her first Post-Restoration flying display at Temora on 05Sep2009).
Remarks: (Del 3/90) flying as part of a unique formation depicting the bulk of jet fighters used by the Royal Australian Air Force over the years. Missing is the Sabre, Mirage and Macchi. The Hawk is A27-31, Meteor is VH-MBX, Vampire is VH-VAM and the Mustang is VH-MFT. It was a pleasure to witness this rare and unique sight.
