Remarks: The best shot of this remembered bird in my collection. This one was destroyed by fire after skidding of the runway @ YYZ. For once, I shot a clean looking Air France only to learn about her sad fate in my hometown later that year. Despite it all, she is lovely!.

August 2, 2005 in TorontoAugust 2, 2005 in Toronto this Airbus A340 (F-GLZQ) with 297 passengers and 12 crew members, caught fire after a rough landing during a stor at Toronto-Pearson airport. No one lost his life and only 14 people were slightly wounded.
Remarks: About to land at SXM is this Air France A340, F-GLZQ, which was completely destroyed in a crash (with no fatalities) at YYZ (Toronto) in August, 2005. Note the island of Saba in the background, about 20 miles (12 km) away.
Remarks: Air France 345 departing to Paris. This aircraft met its final fate on august 2 2005 at Pearson Intl., where it skidded off runway 24L and was completely destroyed.
