Remarks: Threshold of runway 4 dominate by Delta ...
Remarks: Trijets in all their glory with the LGA tower, now sadly gone.
Remarks: Look at all those mainline aircraft! Back when USAir ruled La Guardia. Also note the guy on the lift working on the sign. Scanned from an old print.
Remarks: Unusual conditions often hamper operations at LaGuardia. Today, strong winds have only one runway open, giving us the chance to fly by and observe the long lineup of planes (I count 22) awaiting departure.
Remarks: With runway elevations of 12 to 31 feet above sea level, landing at LaGuardia can be quite the experience. Runway 13/31 is shown here.
Remarks: While this Delta ER4 is turning on runway 4 a Southwest 737 is taking off.
Remarks: Kiwanis Club LaGuardia Airport Kids Day event.
Remarks: Overview of the La Guardia Airport moments after sunset...
Remarks: Old control tower with a departure on runway 4
Remarks: Notice the departure on runway 31!
Remarks: La Guardia's Old Control Tower enjoying the setting sun. I hope the City considers converting it to a museum rather than demolition!
